    Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Pre-Procedure Preparation: Review patient medical history and physician orders, prepare ultrasound equipment, explain the procedure to the patient, confirm identity and verify contraindications.
    • Conducting Ultrasound Scans: Position patients properly, apply conductive gel, operate ultrasound equipment, use a hand-held transducer to capture images or videos.
    • Patient Safety and Comfort: Ensure patient comfort and safety during the procedure, monitor for signs of discomfort or distress, address patient concerns.
    • Image Analysis and Reporting: Capture high-quality images, review and analyze images for clarity and completeness, provide preliminary findings to the physician.
    • Post-Procedure Care: Assist the patient after the procedure, remove gel from the skin, provide aftercare instructions.
    • Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Regularly inspect and maintain ultrasound equipment, perform basic troubleshooting, ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing of the probe.
    • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of procedures performed, ensure all documentation is completed in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
    • Collaboration with Medical Team: Work closely with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate imaging for diagnosis and treatment.
    • Professional Development and Training: Participate in continuing education opportunities, obtain and maintain certifications and licensure required for ultrasound technology.
