    Description

    As our nationwide growth accelerates, our Supply Chain team plays a key role in driving forward our mission of Bringing Happiness to Every Home by overseeing the execution of end-to-end logistics strategies, including freight negotiations; contract across all modes, including inbound and outbound.

    As the Director of Logistics at West Shore Home, you will contribute to this mission by developing the Supply Chain Strategy and building the logistics organization.

    This position manages all aspects of the U.S. based logistics processes and organization. The Director of Logistics reports to the Vice President of Supply Chain and oversees the Logistics Manager. This position works closely with Inside Operations, Customer Service and Sales.
    Oversee the execution of end-to-end logistics strategies, including freight negotiations; contract across all modes, including inbound and outbound.


    • Lead Truckload, LTL, Parcel, including establishing potential dedicated fleets, potential ocean imports from Asia & Latin America, intermodal.
    • Experience managing and evaluating 3PL programs.
    • Lead, manage and optimize existing fleet (leasing, fleet optimization, fuel card programs, maintenance cost analysis, safety, and accident management programs).
    • Utilize KPI metrics and relevant logistics industry trend indicators to track, monitor and adjust strategic and tactical objectives to balance, enhance service levels, quality and reduce cost.
    • Lead savings initiatives and routinely report savings to management.
    • Analyze current payload at the distribution centers and devise strategies for improvement.
    • Manage the TMS implementation experience.
    • Ability to and have experience in the development of freight AOP and freight walks to measure performance.
    • Develop a culture of continuous improvement, professional growth, cross functional collaboration and goal planning and execution.
    • Travel when necessary to manage team, carriers, and strategic programs.
    • Expected to travel up to 20% per year.
    • Maintain regular, punctual in person attendance consistent with the ADAAA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
    We'll provide you with the training and tools to set you up for success, and we hope that you'll bring:


    • Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent education and experience; Logistics major preferred.
    • 10+ years' experience in logistics, preferably with all mode freight negotiations, multi-modal freight management in US, with 3 years of experience in a director/leadership or above role.
    • Experience with implementing/leveraging best in class logistics/transportation management software and tools, including TMS and routing systems, to drive network efficiencies.
    • Experience with implementation and execution of a global multi-modal Transportation Management Systems highly desirable.
    • Understanding of Truckload, LTL, Parcel, including dedicated fleets, ocean imports.
    • Prior experience of tracking technologies within multiple logistics modes.
    • Distribution experience is going to be a plus.
    • Strong contract administration skills.
    • Proven high-performing senior-level leadership experience.
    • Strong PC skills including Excel & Power BI.
    • Must have a valid smart phone or smart device to log in to Company required systems using two-factor authentication.
