    We are seeking dedicated individuals to join us as full-time, on-site team members at our new, state-of-the-art factory located in the thriving city of DeSoto, Kansas.

    Support all phases of new construction and renovation/upgrade for all power distribution projects including planning, design, construction and commissioning.
    Prepare written project plans and presentations which may include budgets, schedules, coordination, and other pertinent project information.
    Conduct technical project review and prepare written comments, analyses and recommendations.
    Contract with and oversee the activities of various contractors and consultants for the fulfillment of engineering responsibilities.
    Prepare designs, layouts, drawings, and bills of material for major maintenance, facility improvements, and other projects.
    Interpret applicable regulatory codes (NEC, NFPA, etc) for compliance.
    Provide standard operating procedures and specifications governing the operation and maintenance of facility systems and equipment.
    Evaluate equipment and system performance and identify improvement plans.
    Troubleshoot problems with facility power distribution systems and other facilities electrical hardware (AC/DC motors, VFD, MCC, etc.).
    Develop corrective action proposals and recommendations.
    Establish energy management and building control programs.
    Assess the need for equipment replacement and expansion.
    Approve outside contractors to carry out specific maintenance and repair assignments (e.g., work request approvals).
    Generate necessary documents for new equipment (e.g., PM check lists, manuals, spare part inventories, etc.).
    Provide guidance and training to less experienced staff and others as required.
    Audit existing systems for non-conformance.
    Develop installation packages for the hook-up, demolition or relocation of power distribution equipment as required.

    Provide project management services for all construction work and approval after completion such as hook-up, demolition, or relocation of power distribution equipment and other facility electrical equipment.

    Perform preliminary engineering necessary to confirm plans and programs.
    Provide engineering consulting services, surveys, and recommendations to all departments.
    Conduct feasibility studies on system improvements and expansions.
    Shutdown facilities equipment safely and properly during plant shutdown.
    Coordinate facility projects with other project groups within the organization.

    Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, statutes, and codes; securing all required permits; and coordinating with appropriate local authorities.

    Act as System Owner of the site's electrical operations and associated distribution system.
    Model the electrical power distribution system and track changes to ensure the system is balanced.
    Troubleshoot electrical system problems, conducting breaker coordination and arc flash studies, track electrical load and capacity analysis.
    Review electrical design specifications, submittals, studies and drawings.

    Knowledge of the latest NEC codes, including life safety and building code, with skills to read and interpret design drawings and specifications.

    Help maintain the facilities document control system by ensuring electrical as-built drawings are incorporated into the master CAD drawings.
    Thorough understanding of power quality issues and resolutions (power factor, harmonics, phasing, etc). Track, trend and analyze electrical system usage utilizing SmartGear power monitoring software.
    Coordinates, schedules, oversees, supervises and leads the facilities electrical engineering and controls engineer groups.
    Provide leadership, annual development planning and other applicable supervisory tasks.
    Support building a robust electrical and controls engineering team in the facilities engineering group.
