- Provides leadership, guidance, and support to the nursing supervisor and staff.
- Ensures adherence to nursing standards, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitors patient care delivery, implements quality improvement initiatives, and collaborates with healthcare providers.
- Assesses patient acuity, prioritizes care delivery, and addresses patient and family concerns.
- Manages departmental budgets and identifies cost-saving measures.
- Facilitates ongoing education and training for nursing staff.
- Stays updated on current trends and best practices in nursing leadership.
- Directly supervises the Nurse Supervisor and oversees nursing staff.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities according to organizational policies and laws.
- Conducts interviews, hires, trains employees, appraises performance, and resolves problems.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
- Minimum of five years of clinical nursing experience, including three years in a supervisory role.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).
- Three years of hematology/oncology experience.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and healthcare technology.
- Ability to build relationships, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of nursing standards, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards.
