    Medical Lab Technician - Exciting Opportunity at LabCorp in Gresham, OR


    LabCorp is on the lookout for a skilled Medical Lab Technician to become part of our dynamic team in Gresham, OR. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment and playing a crucial role in the field of clinical lab science.



    SCHEDULE:


    • 2nd Shift
    • 36 hours per week
    • 8 hour shifts
    • Working from 1:00 pm to 9:30 p.m.
    • Monday to Friday with occasional weekends

    Job Duties/Responsibilities:


    • Assessing specimen acceptability for testing based on set criteria
    • Executing routine and complex technical procedures following departmental guidelines
    • Operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting instrumentation for optimal performance
    • Making technical decisions related to testing and troubleshooting
    • Testing, evaluating, and preparing new reagents or controls
    • Ensuring timely and accurate reporting of test results for quality patient care
    • Performing and documenting maintenance and quality control procedures
    • Restocking testing bench supplies as needed
    • Assisting with specimen processing when required
    • Maintaining a safe work environment and using appropriate protective equipment

    Job Requirements:


    • Preferred Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology with 1-3 years of experience (training provided)
    • Preferably ASCP or AMT certification
    • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a team
    • Proficient in computer skills and familiarity with laboratory information systems
    • Strong attention to detail, effective communication, and organizational skills
    • Ability to pass a standardized color vision screen
    • Willingness to work overtime or varying shifts as necessary
