    ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions / DutiesAssist in new product development by helping Commercial Engineering and Salesperson answer questions for customers technical team.

    Lead crossfunctional teams (Sales, Engineering, Purchasing and Operations) in implementing VA-VE (Value Add/Value Engineering) initiatives that track with timelines, milestones and metrics for success.

    Provide design assistance by working with the customer's engineering staff to properly apply the product. Collaborate with engineering design team to create products for new or modified product applications and requirements.

    Provide customer with list of products fulfilling the design requirement, using the organization's manuals explaining proper use of the product.

    Conduct benchmarking activities for product lines to measure competitiveness against other suppliers to help reduce cost, improve operating efficiency, safety factors and quality.

    Justify the design changes and track implementation to ensure payback in established metrics.

    Develop or standardize designs to increase efficiency at the plants while meeting customer requirements and compliance with ASME/DOT Code and other applicable standard regulations.

    Review key technical/regulatory documents to understand if our products are up to date or overburdened with unnecessary features/costs/legacy items.7.Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing and Operations to develop a comprehensive list of potential projects that could impact the business financially or innovation to differentiate the business from it's competition.

    Track and weight those projects for review with executive leadership to ensure the projects are prioritized by resource or financial constraints.8.To follow all EHS guidelines and applicable procedures.9.Report any unsafe conditions or incidents in a timely manner to their supervisor or any member of management.
