    ABOUT THE ROLE

The Mansueto Ventures Editorial Fellowship is a one-year internship designed to give recent college graduates or master's degree recipients exposure to all aspects of journalism across both of the company's editorial titles—Inc. and Fast Company—while providing important visibility into the business operations of the parent company through administrative support of the CEO/chief content officer, chief operating officer, and the editors-in-chief of the two publications.

Upon successful completion of the program, the fellow will be strongly considered for suitable editorial openings at either title.

This role will require in office presence Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Hourly rate: $23.

    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

The fellow will spend six months of the internship primarily reporting and writing for Inc., followed by six months writing and reporting for Fast Company. However, the curriculum will enable the fellow to interact with journalists and business leaders from both titles throughout the year, providing valuable insights into how news publications may approach stories differently or where they may find opportunities for collaboration.

Administrative duties may include helping the CEO, COO, and editors schedule meetings; arranging travel for the CEO; submitting CEO expenses; working with security and reception to receive VIP visitors; and working with the facilities manager on company gatherings. Where appropriate, the fellow may be invited to observe or participate in meetings with visiting executives.

Fellows should expect to spend roughly 15-16 hours a week supporting the CEO, COO, and editors, and about 19-20 hours a week on editorial projects. A sample schedule may be found below (hours may vary by week, as there may be some days when the administrative workload may be heavier than the editorial demands or vice versa) and a curriculum follows, subject to the editors' availability.
