- Use caution and support facility systems to assure safety event free facilities.
- Respond to any emergency or potential emergency following established procedures.
- Observe, respond and report any instance of process or product non-conformity.
- Security diligence: maintain control of key cards, prevent unauthorized entry to facilities by non-Berry employees, and proper maintenance / security of Berry equipment.
- Successfully complete Primary Duties as outlined and associated training.
- Pause activity and notify Safety lead in any facility regarding instances of potentially unsafe work environments or employee and supplier practices.
- Initiate action to prevent occurrences of any non-conformity of product or quality systems.
- Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
- Suggest actions for continual improvement to products, processes, facilities or systems and verify the implementation of solutions.
- Manage projects related to plant engineering, infrastructure, and operational excellence as assigned.
- Establish guidelines related to plant systems to ensure proper maintenance and safety standards are met.
- Report and implement corporate best practices observed in individual facilities.
- Identify and drive cost reductions related to utilities and efficiency improvements.
- Support equipment moves, plant consolidations, and expansion projects to ensure facility and infrastructure is in place to support operations.
- Plan and manage capital projects or support plant personnel as needed.
- Evaluate plants when on site to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Help plants troubleshoot infrastructure system issues and resolve problems.
- Help evaluate existing facilities or plant expansions to establish initial budget for evaluation.
- Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proven ability to conceptualize, design, lead and manage improvement projects.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet timelines.
- Ability to travel as needed, approximately 50% of time.
- Proficient with Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), 2D CAD experience preferred.
