SAIC is seeking a Electrical Engineer to support the US Navy in Crane, IN.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Electrical Engineer will be supporting AN/SLQ-32(V)7 through all phases of product life cycle, including requirements development, design, development, data package creation and validation, test & evaluation, production, acquisition, and sustainment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Researches, designs, develops, modifies, evaluates, and tests a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including radar and radiation detection equipment; radio, television and other communications equipment and systems; circuitry components; analog and digital computers; and control and test equipment.
Develops specifications for selecting components and equipment to use.
May also review vendors abilities to support development.
Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable and consistent with organization objectives
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree and three (3) years or more experience. Degree must be in Engineering or Mathematics/Physics degree with at least 24 hours calculus.
Willing to work in office, lab, and shipyard environments.
May require travel to support planning meetings, reviews, etc. (IWS 2E in Washington, DC; and supporting Contractor facility locations; etc.).
Must be an effective written and verbal communicator and have strong technical writing skills.
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
Interim Secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a full secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
