    Description

    Assist doctors during advanced diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures such as cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular procedures, and structural heart procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab.


    Responsibilities:



    • Prepare Cardiac Lab procedure rooms by ensuring adequate stock is available and in working condition.

    • Prepare patient and equipment for cardiac lab procedures by preparing site of entry and arranging sterilized instruments and catheters.

    • Operate and ensure the quality control of all equipment utilized in the cardiac cath lab.

    • Scrub in during procedures, assist physician in maneuvering catheters, and obtain and record hemodynamic, electrical, and angiographic data.

    • Monitor patient's hemodynamic status during procedures in the cardiac cath lab and participate in life-saving measures.

    • Stand and walk for long periods of time, and bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.


    Requirements:



    • 1 year of experience.

    • BLS, ACLS, ARRT (R) -CI preferred or CCI-RCIS certification, and state specific licensing when required.
