    **Description**

    Majestic Steel is excited to add a material handler to our shipping team on first shift Using an industrial forklift, our material handlers move steel throughout our service center. We have an immaculate facility, strong safety culture and offers competitive compensation & benefits Please note first shift is Monday- Friday, 7:00am- 3:00pm.

    **Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

    Operate lift truck to transport material within service center

    Review skid list to locate and prepare skids for production lines

    Maintain supply of empty skids for production use

    Ensure that finished product is removed from line

    Move product to storage areas with proper equipment and efficiently stack and store in appropriate area

    Maneuver lift truck and/or other material handling equipment safely and efficiently through limited space areas

    Stock and rotate materials as necessary

    Verify counts and product shipped and/or received

    Stage material for sales and production orders

    Maintain lift truck in a safe, clean condition

    Operate all warehouse equipment in a safe and reliable manner

    Report all equipment failures to immediate supervisor

    Maintain a safe and healthful work environment by practicing safe work habits, good housekeeping procedures and adhering to safety guidelines

    Wear all proper protective equipment as required in work and in accordance with Safety Policy and OSHA standards. Items may include: safety glasses, safety shoes/boots, hearing protection, etc.

    Assist in other areas on as needed basis

    Other job related duties and special projects as assigned

    **Education, Training and Experience Requirements**

    2 years lift truck experience

    **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements**

    Operate assigned equipment in a safe, effective and efficient manner

    Plan and prioritize workload

    Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow processes and procedures

    Work independently and as part of a team

    Maintain neat and orderly conditions in work area and help maintain and promote safe conditions throughout the facility

    Communicate with management and co-workers in an effective manner

    **Preferred Qualifications**

    2 years of experience in steel and/or metals manufacturing environment

    High school diploma or equivalent

    **Additional**

    Must be able to frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 lbs

    Must be able to sit 8 hours per day

    Must be able to walk; sit; stand; climb; bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

    Must be able to mount, dismount and operate powered industrial equipment

    Must be able to work in both hot and cold atmospheres depending on weather conditions

    Must be able to work outside normal business hours/days as needed
