Description
Job Description:
Prepares patients for procedures, assumes responsibility for patient needs during procedures.
Performs procedures with accuracy and thoroughness in a timely manner, adhering to the protocols outlined in the department's procedure manual upon the order of a licensed independent practitioner for diagnostic interpretation by a radiologist.
Education:
AMA Approved School of Radiologic Technology - Required
Certificate Venipuncture - Required if performing CT or within 6 months of assuming position
Experience:
Additional Experience Requirements:
Maintains and acquires CE units as required by the State/National agencies
CT or ARRT-CT Required if performing for any new hire after July 31, 2019. New graduates and internal transfers will have 14 months to obtain. All other new hires into a CT Technologist role will have 6 months to obtain.
Certifications/Licensures:
Radiologic Technologist - Certified (CRT) Current California - Required
CRT Fluoroscopy - California Department of Public Health - Radiologic Health Branch - Required
BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association - Required
Rad Techs - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Required
CT Computed Tomography - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - R equired if performing CT.
Monday , Thursday, Friday, rotating weekends
