Duties

• Prepare and cook dinner dishes according to established recipes, menus, and quality standards
• Ensure all food handling procedures comply with food safety regulations and best practices
• Assist with menu planning, ingredient selection, and portion control to optimize meal quality and efficiency
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and utensils
• Use knife skills effectively for chopping, slicing, dicing, and other food preparation tasks
• Support catering events or special meal services as needed, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality dishes
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy dinner hours

Experience

• Previous dietary department experience or dietary aide experience is highly desirable
• Proven background in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or food industry setting
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
• Experience with menu planning and meal preparation for diverse dietary needs
• Fine dining experience or experience working in upscale restaurant environments is a plus
• Skilled in culinary techniques including knife skills and meal presentation
• Familiarity with catering services and serving large groups efficiently
