    SUMMARY: Oversees all electrical mechanical systems of the manufacturing facility to include installation, upgrades, expansions, and troubleshooting. Assist operations, maintenance, safety and engineering to meet production and department goals, as well as health & safety requirements for the company.

    • Resident expert for plant related production support and utility equipment (i.e. boilers, chillers, air compressors, Air Handler Units, Electrical switchgear, etc.)
    • Assist maintenance with complex and problematic troubleshooting, and assist in implementing countermeasures for frequent failure items and improve where cost effective.
    • Work with maintenance to continuously improve preventative maintenance on production equipment plant wide based on equipment downtime.
    • Manage all major production and facility repair, upgrade, and expansion projects to include:
    • Initial Design
    • Quoting
    • Planning and communication
    • Contractor and Maintenance department supervision
    • Post project review
    • Coordinate with departments to fulfill engineering requests.
    • Develop contractor and vendor relationships.
    • Maintain and develop plant drawings, standards, and procedures as appropriate.
    • Resident expert for all facility related items, architectural understanding for new construction, building additions, and office expansions.
    • Manages utility budget and identifies continuous improvement projects to reduce costs.
    • Identify and improve equipment and systems where failures contribute to quality issues, production inefficiencies and excessive maintenance costs.
    • Ensure that systems are in place to address unplanned downtime issues in the most expedient manner possible.
    • Manage capital expenses per budget.
    • Write equipment specifications and develop and maintain plant standards.
    • Promote the maintenance/production/engineering relationship using a positive customer service approach.
    • Develop and facilitate maintenance training specific to our maintenance applications or new equipment.
    • Could come in contact with hazardous chemicals.
    • Environmental responsibility is our commitment to our communities.
    • Proper disposal of waste such as recyclables, standard waste, hazardous waste, etc. is expected.
    • Any other tasks as required to fulfill Lincoln Industries Beliefs and Drivers.

    ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE:

    • Reports to: Director, Engineering
    • Supervises:
    • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
    • Leader, mentor to maintenance and engineering departments

    QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required.

    Education and/or Experience:

    Expected: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or 5-10 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

    Communication Skills:

    • Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

    Other Skills:

    • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
