    Description
    We're searching for a diligent Human Resources Assistant with two to three years of experience in Human Resources.

    The Human Resource Assistant will support the Senior Director of Human Resources & Payroll Administration by providing information to employees regarding Head Start regulations, policies & procedures, and general support for recruitment and training.

    Maintain all employee files in a secure, confidential, and compliant area. Ensure internal memos or relevant news are disseminated widely, timely, and effectively through the company's different communication channels. Promote comprehensive knowledge of current Head Start regulations while maintaining positive staff relations.


    Responsibilities:

    • Review applications and verifies applicant's qualifications
    • Assist with initial HR screening and setting interviews for the management team
    • Welcomes new employees to the organization by conducting and completing onboarding orientation
    • Ensure all payroll information and records are maintained per statutory requirements
    • Support all internal and external audits related to HR and payroll
    • Manage and resolve issues relating to payroll production
    • Create Personnel Action Notices for the processing of new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations
    • Enter and maintain data in the HRIS system, updating employment and status changes
    • Maintains confidentiality at all times
    • Maintains quality of service by following organizational standards Qualifications:
    • AA degree in Human Resources (BA preferred) & two to three years of HR experience
    • One to two years of experience with Recruiting
    • Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills Compensation: $21 - $24 hourly DOE
