    Position Overview:

    This cutting-edge agency is looking to bring on a talented and detail-oriented Medical Editor to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical editing and a passion for ensuring the accuracy and clarity of scientific content. As a Medical Editor, you will play a crucial role in reviewing and refining a variety of materials, including promotional materials, scientific manuscripts, educational resources, and more.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Review and edit promotional materials, including sales aids, brochures, websites, and advertisements, to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
    • Collaborate closely with writers, designers, and medical experts to develop high-quality content that effectively communicates key messages to target audiences.
    • Conduct fact-checking and verify references to ensure the accuracy and credibility of scientific information.
    • Provide guidance on medical terminology, style, and formatting to maintain consistency across all materials.
    • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulatory requirements, and therapeutic areas to inform editorial decisions and recommendations.
    • Participate in project meetings and contribute insights to enhance the overall quality and impact of our communications.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in a scientific or healthcare-related field; advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) preferred.
    • 2+ years of experience in medical editing, preferably within a pharmaceutical advertising agency or healthcare communications agency.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Proficiency in medical terminology, scientific writing conventions, and AMA style.
    • Familiarity with regulatory requirements governing pharmaceutical advertising (e.g., FDA, OPDP) is a plus.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • A passion for accuracy, quality, and continuous learning in the medical editing field.
