This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
3x12 Days, with shift start times varying between 06:45 - 19:15 or 09:00 - 21:30. Weekend coverage is required.
Job Description
The OR RN will be responsible for providing comprehensive perioperative care for patients across various surgical specialties within a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma facility. The role requires a skilled professional adept at handling high-pressure environments and terrains, including trauma cases.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient care.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure the highest standards of patient safety and care during surgical procedures.
- Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Float to like units as necessary to meet facility needs.
- Participate in call coverage as needed, limited to response for call-offs.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the operating room setting.
- Must have an active Alaska RN license in hand for auto offer.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and CNOR certifications preferred.
- Experience with Epic charting system is required.
- Travel experience is required.
