    Shipping Specialist Role in Auxvasse, MO

    About the Role

    The Specialist, Shipping and Receiving supports site packaging and logistics operations, ensuring all shipments are prepared, documented, and transported in compliance with applicable regulations. This role maintains chain-of-custody standards, supports temperature-controlled shipments, and collaborates with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely and accurate delivery.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Package and ship materials in compliance with local, state, federal, and international regulations, including IATA guidelines.
    • Ensure required import/export permits and documentation are current for regulated materials.
    • Prepare customs documentation and maintain knowledge of U.S. import/export requirements.
    • Monitor inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining chain of custody and resolving any issues during transit.
    • Ensure cold/cool chain integrity for temperature-sensitive shipments.
    • Perform shipment tracking, data entry, inventory management, and required documentation.
    • Coordinate with couriers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers.
    • Maintain inventory of shipping supplies and ensure equipment is properly maintained and qualified.
    • Operate warehouse equipment and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
    • Provide strong customer service and communication to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
    • Several years of experience in international shipping, preferably in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or specialized logistics environments.
    • Experience working in GxP environments and handling temperature-sensitive materials preferred.
    • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills with high attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with Harmonized System (HS) classifications and customs valuation is a plus.
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
    • IATA/Dangerous Goods certification preferred, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and frequently move, bend, and reach.
    • Regular use of computers and standard warehouse/office equipment.
    • Ability to communicate clearly and work in a fast-paced environment.

    Additional Details:

    Location: Auxvasse, MO

    Pay: $24/hr-$26/hr (Dependent on background and years of experience)

    Hours: Monday - Friday; 8AM-4:30PM; Onsite 5 Days a Week

    Duration: ~6 month (1,040 Hours) contracted probationary period into direct hire / permanent position
