Description
Overview:
Under the supervision of the Field Manager, the part-time groundskeeper is responsible for assisting with the overall care and maintenance of the sports field at Angel Stadium.
The pay rate for this position is $16.00 per hour effective January 1, 2024 and is a non-benefited position.This position is also eligible for sick time (after 90 days of employment) and complimentary tickets to games (12 per season).
Duties:
Daily work includes mowing, edging, weeding, sodding, blowing and vacuuming, infield maintenance, and mound repairSafe operation of various grounds equipment such as mowers, carts, tractors, aerators, blowers, vacuums etc.
One to two years related experiencePossession of or ability to obtain a valid driver's licenseExperience in Field Management at baseball facility preferredAbility to work varied hours, including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays
Physical Demands:
Ability to walk frequentlyAbility to work on uneven surfacesAbility to occasionally squat, stoop, bend and kneelAbility to frequently lift up to 20lbs and occasional lift up to 50lbsAbility to work in inclement weather (extreme cold or heat)The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position.
