    Job Title: Detention Officer

    Our team in Jackson, US is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate individual to join us as a Detention Officer.

    • Process arrested and released persons at the jail or detention center, completing necessary paperwork and forms
    • Issue clothing and personal hygiene supplies to detainees as needed, releasing property appropriately Maintain the safety of detainees at all times Conduct regular checks of facilities, maintaining calm and order in the facility Conduct cell searches and strip searches when necessary Transport detainees to court, other police agencies medical appointments, Other appearances release prisoners investigators When assigned youth detention center contact parents detained youth explain policies procedures Serve meals snacks detainees Qualifications No experience required although previous corrections desirable Equivalent completion twelfth grade Possession appropriate valid driver's license PRIOR EMPLOYMENT APPLICANT RECOMMENDED FOR EMPLOYMENT SHALL BE REQUIRED TO SUCCESSFULLY PASS URINALYSIS BLOOD TEST SCREEN ALCOHOL DRUG ABUSE EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER
