    Position Title:

    Electrical Engineer

    Position Summary - The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of Additive Manufactured Electronic (AME) equipment as well as designing and preparing circuits and print files at the COMET Center, NJII's Advanced Manufacturing Center located in Landing NJ. This role will include operation of state of the art AME equipment, development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures for safe and effective use. This role will emphasis designing circuitry and parts that showcase and evaluate the equipment's capabilities, with a focus towards integration into large scale heterogeneous electronics and products developed at COMET.

    Person Reports to -

    Deputy Director of the NJII Defense Division

    Essential Functions - This position will involve operation and maintenance of Additive Manufacturing Electronic (AME) Equipment. This equipment will include nScrypt Tabletops, Fuji Dimatix Inkjet Printers, Voltera Novas, Nano Dimension Dragon Fly IV, and other advanced AME equipment. Development and execution of standard operating procedures to run and maintain the equipment will be included in this role. It will include collaborating with AME technicians and leading the groups effort around designing effective print files and circuitry to showcase the capabilities of the equipment. This role will also participate on development of standards for AME reporting up to the director and deputy director of the division.

    Prerequisite Qualifications -

    Education/Degree Required
    • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering required, or equivalent experience
    • Understanding of AME workflow, software, and associated file types
    • Individual should value interpersonal skills
    • Be capable of being vetted through a local agency criminal background check
