    Our client, a prominent manufacturer of building materials renowned for their structural products, is dedicated to ensuring both product quality and availability. In line with their commitment, they are in search of an Electrical Controls Engineer.

    This role focuses on enhancing safety protocols, streamlining plant systems, and executing custom PLC programming. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, this position presents an exciting opportunity for candidates experienced in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment.

    Focus:

    • Enforce safety protocols in alignment with regulatory standards and company policies.
    • Analyze and enhance plant systems to achieve operational goals efficiently.
    • Develop bespoke PLC and drive programming for various components.
    • Identify and resolve electrical malfunctions, communicating root causes and solutions.
    • Troubleshoot machine network infrastructure and implement enhancements.
    • Collaborate with management and operators on project initiatives.
    • Accurately complete work orders and associated documentation.
    • Conserve maintenance resources while staying updated with industry advancements.
    • Provide training and mentorship to team members as needed.

    Skill Set:

    • 5+ years' experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing plant.
    • Education or training in an electrical field from an accredited institution.
    • Strong commitment to promoting and upholding health and safety standards.
    • Proficiency in troubleshooting Allen Bradley PLCs and HMI devices preferred.
    • Previous experience in tube or heavy manufacturing environments advantageous.
    • Demonstrated physical capabilities to perform tasks in a manufacturing setting, including lifting, standing, and prolonged manual labor.
    • Flexibility to work off-shifts (afternoon or night) as business needs dictate.
    • Ability to travel to additional plant sites as needed.
