    The Opportunity


    This position will be in the US Income Tax Provision team which focuses on quarterly reporting for both GAAP and FERC entities.


    Reporting to the US Tax Manager in the Houston office, the Tax Accountant will actively participate in TC Energy's tax function to ensure compliance with federal and state tax reporting requirements.

    The Tax Accountant will provide tax compliance and tax accounting support to various stakeholders including supporting the Tax Accounting and Forecast group.

    What you'll do


    • Prepare quarterly tax provisions, reconcile current and deferred taxes
    • Involved in income tax accounting and reporting functions
    • Prepare federal and state corporate income tax returns
    • Prepare and review of depreciation reports used for return filings and forecasts
    • Prepare federal and state quarterly estimated tax installments
    • Assist with special projects as assigned by management
    • Other tasks as required
    Minimum Qualifications


    • Bachelor's degree (preferably in Accounting)
    • Two to five years' experience in federal and/or state income tax
    • Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and Word
    • Excellent organizational skills that allow the candidate to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Strong team player who is able to work well with others
    • Good communication skills
    • Detail oriented
    Preferred Qualifications


    • Regulatory accounting experience
    • Knowledge of OneSource tax software, CCH research tools and PowerTax fixed asset software
    • Working knowledge of SAP
