    POSITION SUMMARY

    To be successful in this role the ideal candidate will possess an excellent strategic and entrepreneurial spirit to marry both knowledge of accounting/finance and operations in a growth environment. This person must have a can-do yet thoughtful attitude as well as the business acumen to lead and mentor the finance team. This individual will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and is responsible for helping plan, develop, and implement the companys mission, strategy, and goals.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage and lead all financial functions, including Financial Reporting, Budgeting, Planning and Analysis, cash management, profit management, banking, and audit activities.
    • Develop and enhance a financial foundation that will allow the business to grow effectively year after year.
    • Oversee, lead and mentor current financial team to develop existing talent crucial to the success of expected growth of the organization.
    • Administer annual budgeting and planning processes; monitor progress and changes of the P&L to keep senior leadership team abreast of the organizations financial status.
    • Drive regular business review processes with management and key departments to assess performance tracking against overall business objectives and goals.
    • Develop and monitor cross-functional KPIs and provide hands-on, metrics-driven financial leadership to help accelerate growth and profitability.
    • Engage leadership team to develop short, medium, and long-term financial plans and projections.
    • Ensure accurate and timely multi-company financial reporting and compliance.
    • Analyze business risks and opportunities and make recommendations as they affect the financial results of the business.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

    • A minimum of 10 years accounting / finance experience
    • CPA strongly preferred
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business required
    • Multi-state experience a plus
    • A collaborative, creative team player able to connect with all parts of the organization to generate ideas and business strategies
    • Desire to mentor and develop a finance team
    • Exceptional integrity, work ethic, credibility, and confidentiality
    • Strong communication and analytical skills
    • An entrepreneurial spirit, a strong sense of urgency, and an unwavering commitment to success
    • Industry experience in construction or professional services is a plus
