    This position is responsible for, under general direction, ensures timely processing of workers compensation claims; evaluates accident reports to determine accuracy and completeness and to ensure adequate investigation; ensures BELFOR is in compliance with applicable laws and regulations; provides training and guidance to office personnel on proper treatment of workers compensation claims and protocols.

    Responsibilities

    • Advises and/or assists departments in conducting investigation of accident reports, including interviewing of witnesses and procurement of relevant documentation.
    • Reviews accident reports to identify patterns of injury and to determine whether unsafe conditions contributed to the accident; provides department with information that will aid in reducing accidents and improve safety.
    • Review claim status with insurance adjusters
    • Timely follow through of information as required to the insurance adjusters
    • Provide comprehensive and accurate reporting of claims and statistical data to Regional Safety Managers
    • Effectively communicate policies and "rules of the road" to employees and managers
    • Maintaining an organized workspace to ensure all incoming and outgoing communication is managed timely and professionally
    • Attend BELFOR sponsored operations and safety training courses as required
