POSITION CONCEPT:

Customer Experience works at the intersection of strategy, design, and technology to digitally transform theexperience for over 800,000 residential, commercial, and industrial customers for Tampa Electric Company (TEC),and over 400,000 customers for Peoples Gas System (PGS). The Product Owner owns the product from start to fi nish and is responsible for conveying product vision androadmap to Agile delivery teams by defi ning user stories and prioritizing product backlog. The Product Owner actsas a conduit between the business partners and the IT teams to ensure alignment on the product roadmap and theproduct backlog. The product owner is also the primary communicator and link between stakeholders and teams.As such, they must be excellent communicators, making sure there's buy-in from stakeholders on all majordecisions and strategy and clear instructions and deliverables for the agile teams. The Product Owner must alsointimately understand the vision of a product from the point of view of customer, end user and stakeholders.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work focuses on those withmaximum value that are aligned with the CE product strategy.
• Collaborate with business teams and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and prioritize business requirementsand requests into requirements documentation and user stories.
• Translates customer "needs" and "wants" into requirements, and guide requirements through delivery bycollaborating with business teams, design, and IT.
• Develop, adapt and carry out product implementation plan from beginning to end, while taking a primaryrole in inspecting and evaluating product progress through each iteration, and supporting and championingthe vision desired for the completed product.
• Work directly with agile product and development teams during design and development, ensuring theproduct is meeting specifi cations, effi ciency and quality are maintained, the user experience and interface isconsidered and implemented, and the integrity of the vision of the end product is maintained.
• Work with the agile development team to ensure appropriate tests are completed during the developmentprocess and that issues are quickly remediated to minimize defects during the user acceptance testing bythe operating companies.
• Ensures transparency into the future work of the product development team.
• Document user stories along with acceptance tests.
• Combine the customer feedback, development ideas and future ideas to build and manage the productbacklog.
• Create, plan, and prioritize an eff ectively groomed backlog based on the overall strategy and businessobjectives and ensure that the scrum Agile team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks toconsume.
• Manage business expectations, bring issues to business' attention proactively; off er solutions.
• Communicate in an eff ective, timely and effi cient manner with business owners and the agile delivery team,ensuring the successful delivery of products during each iteration.
• Responsible for eff ective communication with stakeholders across the board, including customers, businessteams, and the development team to make sure the goals are clear, and the vision is aligned with businessobjectives.
• Ensure and assist in achieving and meeting deadlines and schedules.
• Researches and identifi es industry best practices and trends to increase eff ectiveness.
• Assist in the creation of a product roadmap. The product roadmap is a high-level, strategic visual summarythat outlines the vision and direction for the product off ering over time.
