    Responsibilities

    Peraton is seeking a talented Systems Administrator to become part of Peraton's Citizens Security & Public Services.

    The qualified applicant will become part of Peraton's United States Coast Guard (USCG) Infrastructure Managed Services (IMS) program in the Citizen Security & Public Services Sector and Homeland Security business unit.

    The USCG IMS program delivers a phased journey to mature the delivery of the USCG's managed IT services.

    The program is focused on strengthening IT infrastructure, modernizing enterprise solutions, and improving service delivery to enable successful execution of USCG missions and mission support activities.


    Day to Day Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Speaks to and collaborates with a variety of people, such as clients, vendors, management, and information technology (IT) staff during the creation and maintenance of a system.
    • Installs, configures, and tests servers, blade chassis, blade servers, networking appliances, and all associated cabling.
    • Manages and monitors all installed systems and infrastructure for adherence to company guidelines or SOPs.
    • Uses analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and enhance supply chain processes.
    • Understand, monitor, report on, and gather data from Enterprise Data Center critical support infrastructure.
    • Engages in advanced quality control for system efficiency and operation.
    • Analyzes production planning, material procurement, inventory control, rate setting, outsourcing, vendor selection and retention, expediting, analyzing, and distribution.
    • Ensures the highest level of system and infrastructure availability.
    • Identifies and resolves complex technical issues.
    • Implements warranty and support activities.
    • Processing government required forms for ownership and transfer of government owned equipment.
    • Collaborates with other professionals to ensure high-quality deliverables.
    • Deals with work process optimization and physical connectivity for project success.
    • On call duties required for onsite support of the Alexandria, VA Enterprise Data Center.
    Qualifications


    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience or a Master's Degree and 0 years of experience or a High School Diploma and 6 years of experience
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have a current Secret Clearance.
    • Must have the ability to obtain a CompTIA Security+ Certification within 6 months of being hired.
    • Experience creating, installing, configuring, and troubleshooting networking cabling.
    • Basic understanding of logistical and supply chain operations.
    • Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows IT Hardware.
    • Basic understanding of analytical and quantitative methods of reporting
    • Experience with monitoring systems.
    • Basic Asset Management and Office Suite skills.
    • Must have the ability to lift up to 70lbs. Target Salary Range
