Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Install and configure patches and upgrades.
• Configure and maintain Tableau Server and components.
• Monitor and optimize Tableau Server performance and troubleshoot and report issues.
• Implement and maintain security best practices, including data encryption, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) configuration, and user authentication methods to protect sensitive VA and Veteran data.
• Manage server resources, including disk space, memory, and Central Processing Unit (CPU) usage.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures for Tableau Server configurations, processes, and best practices.
• Configure and manage Tableau Server settings, subscriptions, and licenses.
• Secure and monitor Tableau data gateways and workspaces.
• Implement data governance policies and access controls.
• Optimize Tableau performance and troubleshoot user issues.
• Provide technical support and training to Tableau users. Required Skills and Experience
• Experience with planning and directing research or development work on complex projects.
• Experience evaluating costs and recommendations of new project components.
• A knack for learning new technologies.
• Good problem-solving and innovation needed to resolve a wide variety of technical production challenges. Professional Certifications Certified Tableau Server Associate Certified Tableau Desktop Specialist Years of Professional Experience 5+ years of relevant experience Desired experience n/a Formal Education Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or an additional 8 years of experience in lieu of a degree Citizenship Requirement U.S. Citizenship required for this specific opportunity Security Clearance Requirements Must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI) CRITICAL NOTES:
