    The Operations Support Specialist will perform duties of a Readiness Representative and Turnover Specialist as detailed in the WRPS Operational Readiness Program administrative procedures.

    Operational Readiness and Turnover are applied to various Tank Farm modifications or activities to ensure testing, training, procedure modifications, spare parts, preventative maintenance, staffing, drawings, engineering activities, construction, permits, and any other relevant factor, is addressed before project turnover occurs or operations commence.

    The Readiness Representative and Turnover Specialist frequently engage with organizations across WRPS to scope readiness activities, compile evidence of completion, and obtain concurrence indicating readiness has been achieved and turnover is completed.

    Specific responsibilities of the Readiness Representative and Turnover Specialist include but are not limited to following activities:

    As a senior Operations Support Specialist; Act as lead coordinator and provide regular and consistent operations feedback to the designated management in functional and programmatic areas that support facility or area operations.

    Areas will include but are not limited to, training Readiness Representatives, performing peer review of Readiness Representatives and turnover deliverables, providing Readiness Representatives guidance on projects, and communication interfaces with operations and operations support personnel;Work on complex Readiness and Turnover projects;Engage with organizations across WRPS to scope readiness checklists and turnover activities, compile evidence of completion, and obtain concurrence indicating turnover may proceed and readiness has been achieved;Responsible for planning, expediting, organizing, and performing readiness and project turnover duties in support of scheduled activities;Validate that operational readiness is achieved, and turnover is completed for various Tank Farm modifications or activities;Ensure schedule activities are in place to support timely and efficient readiness and turnover of projects or activities;Prepare schedule and cost estimates for readiness and turnover activities, develop activity descriptions, startup/restart descriptions, plans of action, operational readiness checklists, readiness verification checklists, project execution plans, categorization & tailoring checklists, project turnover scoping documents, project turnover documents, and project closeout reports;Present and defend readiness and turnover products to Tank Operations Contractor (TOC) staff;Support readiness and turnover activities by tracking open items, assembling objective evidence, and validating readiness and turnover activities are complete;Provide planning and support for conduct of readiness assessments and participate on readiness review teams as needed; andProvide input and peer reviews on program administrative procedure changes, as well as independent peer review of other readiness and turnover deliverables;Develop and maintain organizations webpage information; andPerform other duties as assigned.


    Required QualificationsGrade 18:


    Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Project Management, Engineering or related field; andEight (8) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.


    Grade 19:

    Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Project Management, Engineering or related field; andNine (9) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

    Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is larger, and the expected level of performance is increased.

    Desired QualificationsPast experience in startup or restart of nuclear facilities as described in DOE Order 425.1DExperience in a nuclear or other high hazard facility.

    Broad understanding of nuclear facility operations and the activities necessary to ensure a facility startup or restart can be safely and successfully accomplished.

    User experience with databases and software platforms, including SmartPlant Foundation, Business Management System (BMS) Asset Suite, Hanford Data Integrator (HANDI), Integrated Document Management System (IDMS), Crystal Enterprise Reporting, Primavera P6, Enterprise Asset Management and Project Navigator.

    Proficient in Microsoft Office software suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS), and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
