General Responsibility Statement

The Feed Mill Laborer at Van Beek Nutrition will work as a production laborer, and to aid in the manufacturing and delivery or high quality, consistent mineral mixes.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

1. Manufacture Mineral Mixes
   1. Manufacture and bag mineral mixes in a timely, accurate, and consistent manner according to the parameters set by the manager.
   2. Maintain a clean working environment.
   3. Print tags, using the WEM and FMS systems as needed.
2. Other Duties
   1. This position shall support its manager and shall ensure that all department members are cross trained on the position responsibilities.

Education, Reasoning Ability & Experience:

A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.

Communication and Language Skills:

Must have a willingness to take direction and maintain professionalism in the way one communicates, refraining from foul language and inappropriate language.

Other Skills & Abilities:

1. Ability to operate a forklift, or be willing to be trained to operate a forklift
2. Basic computer and keyboarding skills
3. Interpersonal and organizational skills
4. Be a team player
5. A CDL is a plus, but not required
6. Must have a valid Drivers License
7. Anything required by Management

Travel Requirements:

This position does not require overnight travel.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Required to sit and use a computer, handle paperwork, also to stand and use hands and fingers to grasp and hold objects, tools and/or controls, likewise reach with arms and hands. The employee is also, at times, exposed to fumes and/or airborne particulates.

This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
