Cairn Diagnostics is a privately owned, limited liability corporation located in Brentwood, Tennessee (Maryland Farms). Cairn designs, develops, manufactures, distributes, and supports proprietary, innovative stable isotope (carbon-13) breath tests for applications in diagnostic medicine. Cairn's commercially approved 13C-Spirulina Gastric Emptying Breath Test (GEBT) is manufactured in accordance with FDA regulations and ISO13485:2016 and is FDA approved and CE marked. In addition to manufacturing the 13C-Spirulina GEBT, Cairn operates a CLIA-certified clinical laboratory, analyzes breath samples, and reports the results of the GEBT. Cairn is a small company, employing fewer than 20 full-time employees and consultants.

Cairn is looking to employ a skilled Quality Control Laboratory Technician to join our rapidly growing team.

Responsibilities

The Quality Control Laboratory Technician is an entry level position that reports directly to the Director of Research and

Development.

Main Responsibilities include:

· Perform testing for release of product at various stages of the product lifecycle/

· Manage and perform for stability programs

· Work with manufacturing personnel meet testing timelines based on production needs.

· Develop and execute analytical validations for QC methods

· Execute software validations for software used in the QC laboratory

· Generate and execute IQ/OQ/PQ experiments and validations for QC equipment

· Participate in training of new QC personnel

· Perform and document general maintenance of laboratory equipment

· Lead and participate in nonconformance, out of specification, out of trend and CAPA investigations

· The QC Laboratory Technician may be designated as a safety officer and will be responsible for company wide annual safety training

· This position may have the ability to cross-train in Cairn's CLIA registered Clinical Laboratory.

Qualifications

Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry/Biological Science or related discipline

Employment Type

Full Time; On-site

Salary: $52,000 - $60,000 per year. Dependent upon education and experience.

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift
• Normal Business hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

Education:

• Bachelor's (Strongly Preferred)

· Relevant experience in a similar industry may be substituted for educational qualification requirements.

Experience:

• Any form of laboratory experience, including academic lab experience.
• Experience in a regulated industry (e.g. Pharma, Med Device, Clinical Laboratory) is a plus, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
