    Description

    Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking for a Truck and Trailer Mechanic for a long-term, day shift position with a manufacturing company located in Clackamas.

    The person in this position will install and/or troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and low voltage electrical components on new and used trucks and trailers.


    Pay:
    $30-$35/hr


    Truck and Trailer Mechanic Responsibilities:

    • Install hydraulic, pneumatic, and low voltage electrical components on new and used trucks and trailers.
    • Make repairs on units in a timely and safe manner.
    • Weld, align, assemble, and perform repairs and installations.
    • Train and direct other Mechanics as needed.
    • Follow diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work station.
    • Perform other mechanical related duties as required or assigned.
    • Be available to work 50-60 hours/week, Monday through Friday with an occasional Saturday on day shift.

    Truck and Trailer Mechanic Qualifications:

    • Experience in Truck and Trailer maintenance, repair, and/or training.
    • Must have hydraulic experience and/or training.
    • Working knowledge of air brake systems.
    • Must have hand tools.
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
    • Experience installing and troubleshooting basic 12V DC electrical systems.
    • Experience with minor plumbing.
    • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen test (THC is not tested for).
    • Driver's License and comfort moving large trucks within the yard.
    • Forklift operation experience.
    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
