    School of Rock is the leading performance-based, interactive music school established in 1998 in Philadelphia. With a network of over 240 schools and a highly respected global brand, School of Rock stands out as the premier after-school music education provider. Our mission is to empower kids to rock their worlds.

    The School of Rock Music Instructor introduces students to a wide range of musical styles from ACDC to Zappa. They cultivate a safe and creative environment where students can explore their musical talents to the fullest, ensuring that each student embarks on an exceptional musical journey.

    As an Instructor, you will oversee all aspects of music and education in the lessons, crafting engaging and dynamic experiences to challenge and inspire your students. Embodying the spirit of rock and roll, you play a pivotal role in delivering a rewarding learning experience.

    At School of Rock, we focus on five core areas: keys, vocals, guitar, bass, and drums. While expertise in these areas is important, we also value instructors with diverse musical abilities.



    Music Instruction:
    - Enhance the quality of music instruction through private lessons and performances
    - Emphasize the importance of music fundamentals over just learning songs
    - Develop and maintain comprehensive lesson plans

    Customer Connection:
    - Keep parents informed about student progress after lessons
    - Interact regularly with parents and students, maintaining visibility and accessibility
    - Assist in various activities during canceled lessons to support program execution
    - Participate in rehearsals and basic school maintenance tasks
    - Adhere to the SOR Code of Conduct and safety policies

    Skill Requirements:
    - Minimum 4 years of experience in music teaching or performance
    - Proficiency in music theory and curriculum development
    - Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with a diverse range of individuals
    - Excellent organizational abilities
    - Exceptional customer relations skills
    - Resourceful problem-solving capabilities
    - Ability to work well under pressure
    - Ideally a practicing musician with formal music school training
    - Enthusiastic, adaptable, patient, and positive attitude
    - Demonstrates sound judgment and a passion for teaching
