Job summary
The Interpreter serves as a medical interpreter and advocate for patients and families who have Limited English Proficiency (LEP). Acts as a liaison between the needs of LEP speaking patients and Sanford Health caregivers in providing medical interpretation. Assures hospital compliance with all policies and legal requirements regarding communication with LEP patients.Responsibilities
- Provide medical interpretation services to LEP-speaking patients and their families.
- This includes interpreting all verbal communication between patients and healthcare providers, as well as written materials such as medical records and patient education materials.
