- Reads and interprets documents (blue prints, drawing, or manufacturing work orders), to ascertain what tools and materials are necessary for producing products to precision tolerance to aircraft specification.
- Sets up and operates on a production basis, all assigned headers and their related products.
- Loads machines with raw material and monitors production run using measuring devices, such as, comparators, micrometers, calipers and various other inspect gauges.
- Reworks and directs reworking of tooling as needed.
- Keeps accurate statistical process control records, when required, on each job manufactured, making adjustments during production run as the SPC data directs.
- Meets and maintains all productivity levels and quality requirements to support departmental goals and schedules.
- Performs minor preventative maintenance on assigned machines.
- Performs record keeping, data entry, housekeeping, and follows safety regulations.

JOB SUMMARY:
Set up and operate single and/or multi-die headers for manufacturing precision aircraft quality fasteners
Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Competencies:
Selects, mounts, and aligns tooling attachments and materials in proper order and relationship.
Makes all adjustments necessary to produce parts of acceptable quality.
QualificationsLanguage Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating andmaintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure,using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Blueprint Reading:
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
