    We are currently seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in sourcing and managing the supply chain to ensure efficient procurement of materials and services. The ideal candidate would come from active electrical component purchasing. Aerospace & Defense, Industrial and Medical Supply.

    Position Purpose: The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for procuring materials and services to meet customer demands, enhance product quality, optimize manufacturing costs, and ensure long-term benefits for the company. Experience:

    • Minimum three years of experience in electronic components procurement.
    • Proficient understanding of MRP and material planning processes.
    • Familiarity with master scheduling in manufacturing processes is advantageous.
    Skills:
    • strong analytical and negotiation skills with a diplomatic approach.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel (including Pivot Tables).
    • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and listening skills with acute attention to detail and the ability to make informed decisions promptly.
    salary: $55,000 - $70,000 per year

    Responsibilities

    Essential Functions of the Position:
    • Analyze MRP requirements and procure electronic materials, hardware, equipment, and services to meet customer needs efficiently.
    • Solicit quotes, assess bids, negotiate prices, establish delivery schedules, and place purchase orders following company protocols.
    • Collaborate with manufacturing process engineers to obtain component costs for new quotations based on customer-supplied BOMs.
    • Oversee supplier delivery and quality performance, taking corrective actions when necessary, and support vendor certification initiatives.
    • Resolve procurement discrepancies by liaising with suppliers, finance, receiving, and manufacturing departments.
    • Develop and execute inventory strategies to support operations and cash flow management, including coordinating cycle counts for inventory accuracy.
