    In this role, you will be providing strategic direction and leadership for the Distribution Network in Electrification Installation Products. You will plan, budget, and implement capital investment projects, support a continuous improvement culture that promotes safety, teamwork, and open communications within all levels of the organization, and partner with key leadership and plant personnel to assess current processes and identify process improvement opportunities.

    Your responsibilities

    • Prioritize safety through training, compliance, and ergonomic considerations while maintaining a best class working environment.
    • Manage annual capital investment budgets for facility projects and implement capital projects to boost asset return and reduce waste.
    • Lead, develop, and organize teams for maximum efficiency and effectiveness within HR guidelines.
    • Provide end-to-end project management, from conception to implementation release.
    • Drive enhancements, from equipment selection to training, to cut costs and improve quality and productive.
    • Promote lean principles and facilitate Kaizen events, fostering continuous improvement.
    • Collaborate with various teams, analyze data, and promote a culture of continuous improvement and work cross functionally to drive process improvement.
    • Drive a DMAIC (Define - Measure - Analyze - Implement - Control) approach to problem solving and project development.

    Your background

    • Bachelor degree in Engineering plus 8 years' experience
    • Minimum 5 years' experience with processes related to distribution process, network expansion, and quality improvements
    • Previous management experience with demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to lead and influence teams
    • Technical skills in distribution processes and methods including flow, layout, labor management and system improvement
    • Lean Six Sigma certification preferred with working knowledge of value-stream mapping, kaizen, six sigma, KPI's (Key Performance Indicators), and SPC (Statistical Process Control)
    • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint required; SAP, Mini-Tab, Microsoft Project, Infinity QS knowledge desirable
    • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
