    Join Our Team as a Peer Support Recovery Coach at COMHAR!


    Are you passionate about supporting individuals in their recovery journey and promoting community resources? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Peer Support Recovery Coach at our Community Living Room (CLR) Community Integrated Recovery Center (CIRC).


    Job Type: Full-time


    DESCRIPTION:

    • Act as a role model and inspire hope for individuals in recovery
    • Facilitate the individual recovery process and educate on available community services
    • Engage with at-risk individuals to provide recovery education and support
    • Introduce individuals to community resources and support networks

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

    • Engage individuals at different stages of recovery, providing education and support
    • Assist in orientation process and facilitate groups for new individuals
    • Educate and engage individuals in the Wellness Recovery Action Plan process
    • Develop and implement beneficial educational and support groups
    • Link individuals to community resources promoting integration
    • Provide education and advocacy in the community
    • Participate in various meetings and advisory boards

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • High school diploma or GED required
    • Minimum of 1 year experience in mental health direct service
    • Availability to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends
    • Completion of a Peer Specialist certification program
