    Allied Position Job Notes:
    Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

    Job Details:

    • Work 7 on/7 off schedule, Wednesday-Tuesday from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM with flexibility and potential to change
    • Full-time position with no on-call requirements
    • Temp to perm opportunity available
    • Must possess certification for MT, MLS, CLS, or MLT from ASCP, AMT, AAB, or HEW/HHS
    • Louisiana state license required
    • Certification must be maintained and kept current if it has an expiration date
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from accredited institution required
    • Must cross-train to other laboratory sections as needed
    • Perform all routine and complicated laboratory procedures including specimen processing and handling
    • Test patient specimens, calculate and report results
    • Perform quality control procedures and operate laboratory instrumentation
    • Utilize Laboratory Information System for data entry and verification
    • Process patient specimens with awareness of minimal pediatric specimen volumes when required
    • Provide notification and documentation of critical laboratory values
    • Participate in evaluation and implementation of new testing procedures and protocols
    • Demonstrate competence in age-specific and developmental patient care needs
    • Complete all required compliance and regulatory tasks
