Occ Summary

• Will be an individual(s) between years of medical school and who take a year off or are in between residency and fellowship
• Act co-investigator on research projects
• Develop research objectives, projects, and proposals
• Conduct individual or collaborative research projects
• Writing or contributing to publications or disseminating research findings using media appropriate to the discipline
• Make presentations at conferences or exhibit work at other appropriate platforms
• Assess, interpret, and evaluate outcomes of research
• Develop new research concepts and ideas to extend intellectual understanding
• Resolve problems of meeting research objectives and deadlines
• Develop ideas for the application of research outcomes
• Decide on research program and methodologies, in collaboration with PI, colleagues, and research team
• Problem-solve research challenges and model development, as applicable
• Contribute discrete components of a larger project under the general direction of a senior or principal researcher
• Prepare complete documentation of research activities for reference purposes, including following applicable data management protocols
• Analyze, interpret, and document research findings for review
• Compare actual and expected results and suggest solutions to correct the deviations
• Evaluate existing research or modeling techniques and recommend improvements to ensure quality and productivity
• Assist in the preparation of proposals and reports
