As a prominent player in the real estate investment trust sector, we are looking for an Assistant General Counsel with substantial experience in commercial real estate law.
The Assistant General Counsel

• Commercial Real Estate will assume a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive legal guidance and support commercial real estate endeavors.

Reporting directly to the General Counsel, the incumbent will navigate complex legal challenges, offering strategic solutions that align with the organization's objectives.

MedicalDentalVision401KPTOWFH FlexibilityBonus Job Details Responsibilities Provide expert legal advice and counsel on a wide array of commercial real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, development, and property management.

Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including executives, investment teams, and property managers, to ensure legal alignment with business strategies.

Conduct meticulous legal research and analysis to anticipate potential issues, minimize risks, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, leases, and other legal documents related to commercial real estate transactions.
Oversee due diligence processes for property acquisitions and dispositions, identifying legal risks and proposing mitigating strategies.
Stay abreast of industry trends, legislative changes, and emerging best practices in commercial real estate law.
Participate in the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures to ensure legal and ethical operations.
Assist in managing external legal resources, including outside counsel, and contribute to the effective management of legal budgets.
Represent [Company Name] in negotiations, mediations, and other legal proceedings related to commercial real estate matters.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior members of the legal team as needed.

5 years of experience practicing law in the field of commercial real estate, ideally within a reputable law firm and/or in-house legal department.

Proven track record of successfully handling complex commercial real estate transactions from inception to completion.
Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry practices in the commercial real estate sector.
Demonstrated leadership skills and the capacity to provide strategic legal guidance.
