Join Aptum Technologies, a global hybrid multi-cloud managed service provider, as a key Linux System Administrator. Our System Administrators are our experts on all supported products and we are looking for someone who thrives on helping people, finding solutions and sharing knowledge.

As part of our team of resident experts you will be responsible for managing incidents and service requests for customer facing infrastructure in a hosted or cloud environment. This will include monitoring system performance, configuration, maintenance, and repair. Delivering solutions with excellent customer service will be your goal.

Core Competencies/Responsibilities:

• Possess excellent customer service skills used in customer facing support.
• Command line and remote administration.
• Ability to diagnose and repair service issues in a Linux environment (Redhat/CentOS/Ubuntu,etc.).
• Manage service outages across multiple teams remotely.
• Coordinate and manage application of updates, patches and configuration changes.
• Management of load balancing, firewalls, routers and proxy services.
• Support of Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, AWS, VMWare, Percona and/or MariaDB.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years' experience in a customer service/facing Linux Administrator role.
• Linux Certifications
• Microsoft Azure or AWS experience
• Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining services such as Apache and/or Ngnix
• Strong TCP/IP, DNS, SSH and SMTP knowledge.
• Awareness of performance management, SLA compliance and service KPI evaluation is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of scripting (perl and/or bash).
• Familiarity with load balancing, firewalls, routers and proxy services.
• Familiarity of Microsoft Azure Fundamentals and/or AWS
• Familiarity with VMWare; Percona, MariaDB.
