    Position Overview

    The Solutions Engineer (SE) is a vital role to enable successful sales and engineering efforts and growth within a territory in the field. The SE is responsible for designing cohesive and high-quality physical security solutions for our clients, supporting the sales and operations organizations, and developing our integrations and overall product suite to fit our customers' needs. The SE needs to effectively collaborate with Customers and Company Sales and Operations Teams and other corporate team members to create and deliver best-in-class solutions and ensure customer success in achieving their desired business outcomes.

    The position is responsible for the successful design and implementation of customer solutions, effective time management, technical expertise, timely delivery of customer-facing documents and other deliverables, and effective communication with sales and operations teams to ensure consistent messaging around our Client's overall Core Focus.

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct site surveys and gather all necessary information to accurately design and quote project.
    • Accurately estimate / quote projects to include solution, equipment, infrastructure, conduit, cabling, labor, etc.
    • Conduct compelling product demonstrations and lead technical discussions around our products and services.
    • Review opportunities and products to assess technical feasibility.
    • Design complete security solutions including system surveys, product specifications/requirements, scopes of work, bills of materials, and quotes for handoff to Company install/operations team and/or end customers.
    • Provide pre- and post-sales support to internal and external customers.
    • Program and commission systems and train end customers.
    • Achieve expertise and stay current on products and technologies, and attain certifications as needed.
    • Add content to Company knowledge base for internal and external distribution.
    • Attend Industry Events and meetings as required.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree (preferred) and 3 years of experience in physical security or a related field, or 5 years of direct security industry experience in designing video surveillance, access control, fire, or alarm systems.
    • Strong knowledge of security best practices and direct experience with at least one security product (Avigilon ACC/ACM preferred, Genetec, iPro, Lenel, AMAG, Singlewire and AND, Paging Systems)
    • Previous system design experience for video surveillance and access control systems and ability to demonstrate knowledge
    • Preferred but not required: drafting or CAD/Bluebeam drawing experience
    • Creative approach to problem solving with the ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems.
    • Team player: desire to collaborate with different teams and people with a positive, can-do attitude
    • Willingness to operate remotely; self-sufficient
    • Proven competency in both technical skills and oral/written communication
