    Description LOAN OPERATIONS SPECIALIST
    • REAL ESTATE PROCESSINGPromote, market, and facilitate the overall sale of products of the bank.
    Contribute to the bank's growth by the effective sale of bank services to new and existing customers with emphasis on courteous and professional service.
    REPORTING RELATIONSHIP AND SCOPEThis position reports directly to the SVP-Sr. Credit Officer and the Loan Operations Assistant ManagerThis position reports indirectly to the SVP-Sr. Lending Officer and the Chief Operating Officer /Chief Risk Officer.

    FLSA STATUSThis position is classified as Non-Exempt under the FLSAOVERVIEWThe purpose of this position is to perform the duties related to processing, closing, funding and servicing of real estate loansESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSMaintain a productive work flow and work as a member of a professional teamFacilitate processing for all Real Estate (Commercial/Construction/Residential/etc.) loansEnsure that all required documentation is present in the loan request as contained in the real estate checklistEnsure that necessary approval has been obtainedAssist loan processors with obtaining needed documentation and loan document requests to attorney and/or third partiesReview real estate loan documents for accuracy and obtain corrections as neededBook loans once closed accurately and in accordance with loan approval and loan documentsFund loans once closed and review for completeness and requirements met with appropriate exception approvalsPrepare and give to the SVP-Sr.

    Credit Officer the booking checklist within 72 hours of bookingAssist with imaging loan files, ensuring these are completed within 72 hours after receipt of original documents.

    Ensure that all legal documents have been filed for recording with the appropriate agenciesEnsure receipt of title policy from title companies and review for accuracySet up and process construction drawsAssist loan customers with service issues such as payments, auto transfers, interest calculations, insurance reports, etc.

    Quote and process payoffs of loansPrepare lien releasesReview lien releases prepared by othersProcess any participation advances or payment requestsProcess monthly payments for all purchased loansSet-up and monitor loan documentation exception tracking and clearingScan and verify documents in imaging systemCollateral maintenance; verify filing of UCC Financing Statements/ContinuationsInsurance tracking and monitoringProcess insurance and real estate tax payments from escrowed accountsPerform annual escrow analysisMonitor and clear delinquent property taxesVerify data input on new and renewed loansBalance and reconcile assigned General Ledger accountsVerify collateral hold input for all locationsTrack negotiable collateral valuationsAssist in preparation of loan portion of the monthly Board reportsProvide data and information to sales staff from filesCross train in all areas of the department and rotate duties periodicallyTrain on new tasks as they are assigned to the departmentTroubleshoot and provide assistance to employees/customers on any inquiries, customer service issues, disputes, etc.
