Salary: $11.90 - $15.52 Hourly

About the Job

The City of Monticello is currently seeking part-time slide attendants to maintain order and enforce policies for flume slide users at the Monticello Community Center pool.

Responsibilities

• Ensure flume slide users enter the slide at correct intervals and in an orderly fashion.
• Enforce rules and policies in the pool area.
• Provide courteous service to patrons while adhering to community center policies and safe practices.
• Perform daily safety checks and keep the area around the slide clean.
• Clean, maintain, and store equipment used.
• Report any equipment or patron problems to the supervisor or Lifeguard.
• Prepare incident reports when necessary.
• Assist with cleaning the pool area as scheduled.
• Assist Lifeguards as requested.

Requirements

• Ability to meet customer needs with a positive attitude, while complying with aquatic facility policies.
• Ability to enforce flume slide policies and practices.
• Ability to work at heights of two stories and climb a stairway to get to and from assigned position.
• Ability to use safety equipment and perform daily safety checks.
• Ability to respond in an emergency and assist in activating the Emergency Action Plan for the pool area.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
• Some ability to perform various cleaning tasks around the pool environment.
