    Description

    Travel CNC machinist needed in Newport news, VA paying $45.00 and $120 in per diem
    Aerotek is looking for CNC machinists with large part experience who would be interested in traveling to Newport News, VA for a 2 year contract role manufacturing components for military and defense agencies.     Recommended Skills:

    Familiar with Numerical Controlled Processes, Manual Data Input, Tooling Offsets, Conversation Controllers, etc.

    Operate Manual and/or NC machines such as:
    lathes, mills, horizontal & vertical machining centers, EDMs, etc

    Experience with controllers such as:
    Fanuc, Siemens, Acramatic, Cincinnati-Milacron, etc.

    Familiar with the use of precision measuring instruments:
    outside/inside micrometers, depth mics, verniers, etc.


    Familiar with threading and the various measuring/gauging requirementsDrilling/tapping processesFamiliar with carbide machining processesAbility to comprehend complex mechanical drawings and blueprints
