    We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical and Controls Engineer to join our growing civil and environmental engineering firm.

    The Electrical and Controls Engineer will be an essential member of our Water/Wastewater team, reporting directly to the Principal in Charge.

    This position will involve developing, reviewing, and consulting on system control architecture, process instrumentation and controls, control narratives, and electrical and controls integration for treatment processes.

    We are looking for a candidate who possesses a strong professional skill set, can collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, work independently, and provide clear, evidence-based solutions.


    Minimum Skills:
    At least 10 years of professional experienceBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related fieldAbility to design and oversee the start-up and commissioning of process control equipment/systemsProficiency in creating process and instrumentation diagrams, control narratives, and points listsExperience in developing operations and maintenance manualsFamiliarity with PLC wiring and programmingKnowledge of 4-20mA analog loops and electrical schematicsBasic understanding of NEC standardsCompetence in instrument calibration and programmingBasic networking skills and knowledge of virtualized systems and serversProficiency in Windows Operating Systems and associated software packages

    Preferred Skills:

    Previous experience in a consulting environmentFamiliarity with SCADA/HMI programming platforms such as iFix, Wonderware, Factory Talk Ignition, and RedLionUnderstanding of IEC languagesKnowledge of telemetry systems utilizing UHF, VHF, ISM 900, and IEC 802.

    11xxRelevant certifications in security and control systemsBackground in object-oriented programming languages like Python and C++

    Expected Outcomes:

    Development of new system control architectures and site infrastructurePreparation, review, and consultation on process and instrumentation drawings, control narratives, process specifications, monitoring instrument and pump selections, and electrical site plansReviewing RFIs and Submittals related to control systemsUpgrades, retrofits, and repairs of existing control systemsConsultation on electrical power budgets and power distribution infrastructure plansField programming of monitoring instrumentsDesign, setup, and configuration of data communication networksTroubleshooting and debugging of system issuesWe offer a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
