Job Title: School Occupational Therapist

Summary:
We are seeking passionate Occupational Therapists (OT) to join our team. The OT will play a vital role in supporting students to achieve their academic, social, and developmental goals by addressing barriers to participation and promoting independence in daily activities.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths and areas needing support in activities of daily living, fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, and other relevant areas.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions to address students' needs, in collaboration with educators, parents, and other professionals.
• Provide direct therapy services to students, including but not limited to individual and group sessions, consultation, and collaboration with teachers to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment.
• Monitor and document students' progress, adjust intervention strategies as needed, and communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with school staff to promote inclusive practices and provide support for students with diverse abilities, including those with physical, developmental, sensory, or emotional challenges.
• Educate teachers, parents, and other team members on strategies to support students' participation and engagement in school activities.
• Stay current with best practices, research, and legislation related to occupational therapy in educational settings.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience working with children and adolescents in educational settings preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of relevant assessment tools, therapeutic techniques, and interventions for school-based OT practice.
• Commitment to promoting inclusion, diversity, and equity in education.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic school environment.
