- Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths and areas needing support in activities of daily living, fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, and other relevant areas.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions to address students' needs, in collaboration with educators, parents, and other professionals.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, including but not limited to individual and group sessions, consultation, and collaboration with teachers to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment.
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjust intervention strategies as needed, and communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with school staff to promote inclusive practices and provide support for students with diverse abilities, including those with physical, developmental, sensory, or emotional challenges.
- Educate teachers, parents, and other team members on strategies to support students' participation and engagement in school activities.
- Stay current with best practices, research, and legislation related to occupational therapy in educational settings.
- Master's degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in educational settings preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of relevant assessment tools, therapeutic techniques, and interventions for school-based OT practice.
- Commitment to promoting inclusion, diversity, and equity in education.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic school environment.
