    Position Summary:
    This role is a position that requires work exposure in multiple areas in our refrigerated production environment. The candidate of this position must be self-motivated, problem solver with excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills. The ACT Lead (Coordinator) is responsible for the training of new
    QA hires and current ACT associates.

    He/she will assist
    QA Team Lead in auditing
    QA and Production Quality / Food Safety related activities; review of ACT paperless and related activities validating compliance with customer requirements (Standard Operating Procedures and Specifications).

    ACT Lead will be heavily involved in daily activities to help achieve CCP's, quality, safety, food safety goals through the effective use of the resources.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Ensure compliance with and maintain all GMP/PPE/Safety, SQF Regulatory Requirements, HACCP & Sanitation guidelines and processes.
    Review and sign CCP documentation, Audits CCP records for compliance with Food Safety and Quality Plans.
    Assists in the investigation of Chlorine, PH and Water temperatures. Also recommending solutions for the prevention of recurrences.
    Reviews prints and files CC's related graphs for wash water. Audits and monitors critical control records and process control points for compliance to product quality, food safety requirements

    Develops and trains fellow associates in the team and production departments coaching and training on assigned tasks, policies and procedures.

    Maintains daily equipment calibration database, administers
    QA Microbiology Database for inspections, data entry (SOPs and Forms).
    Perform other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    B.S In Food Science related fields such as (microbiology, chemistry, food technology, biology) an/or a minimum of 2 years' experience in a Quality Control or Quality
    Assurance position in the food industry.
    Reading, Writing, Speaking English.
    Ability to communicate (verbally & in writing) to complete required documentation.
    Comprehension of basic math and Computer Proficiency (Microsoft Office (access databases, Excel, Word), statistical process software, etc.
    Ability to work flexible schedules and in a fast paced environment.
    Ability to be crossed trained & multi-task in multiple positions.
    Ability to work unsupervised, ability to understand plant KPI's (production, quality & safety).
    HACCP Certified
    Must have working knowledge on USDA-FSIS, SQF, and Organic guidelines.
    Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
    Perform other duties as assigned.

    Physical Work Environment:


    While performing the duties of this job, this position entails use of ladders and catwalks to reach production equipment, regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to extreme cold for extended periods of time.

    The associate frequently works in high, precarious places.

    The associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.

    The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
