- Helps patients with basic grooming and dressing needs.
- Attends to basic housekeeping duties which the patient cannot get to.
- Keeps the patient company, keeping an eye out for any changes in the patient's physical, emotional or mental condition.
- Communicates the status of the patient, including any changes, periodically, to a supervisor, case manager or nurse.

- High School diploma is strongly preferred.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and any additional applicable life support certification for Healthcare Providers is required upon hire with at least 6 months' validity and maintenance at JHS for the duration of employment.
